Antenatal & Birth Doula
As a birth doula, I am here to support you (and your partner) through your antenatal period and preparation for birth, as well as being someone to hold you up, build your confidence and strength through labour and birth. I am there to smooth the transition as your family grows, and as part of this, I am available to contact with worries or questions.
As part of the service I will meet you at least twice before the birth and will make a 1-2 hours postnatal visit. I will be on-call to you from 38 weeks gestation. More sessions can be provided to include antenatal education (such as listed below) at £40 per hour.
My role is to be led by you, providing the support that you may need along the way. The kind of support I give is often emotional, practical and informational and will be offered unconditionally and without judgement. I Provide A Continuous Friendly Face For You (And Your Partner).
I draw on my knowledge and experience to provide you with emotional support and physical comfort measures. If the need arises I can help you communicate with your midwife and medical care givers to ensure that you have all the information you need to make informed decisions during pregnancy, labour, bonding and early parenting.
