About Me
Hello, my name is Dawn, I live in Salisbury in a lively house, my woofy dog and 2 lovely boys (9 & 11 years). I am outdoorsy and love nothing more than walking the dogs or riding a horse through the Wiltshire countryside. Friends and family are very important to me and for many years birth and support for new families has been my passion.
After the birth of my first child in 2013, I noticed how little support there was rurally and how much support new families often need. I setup groups for new parents, and fuelled by their stories, I felt I needed to do more… so I completed a foundation degree to enable me to provide antenatal and breastfeeding education/support with NCT, followed by my doula training with Nurturing Birth.
After supporting many families via NCT and through New Dawn Birth, I also undertook the first wonderful year of midwifery training. Sadly I was forced to stop due to covid & family commitments. But I take from this an amazing opportunity as a doula, to really see the birthing world from different perspectives, gaining many skills to benefit the families I support.
I am now in training to become a therapist, bringing hypnotherapy and counselling as a skill to support those who need it.
DBS cleared, paediatric first aid trained and fully insured, to ensure you are all safe in my care.
If you think I can be of support to you and your family, please get in contact. I am here to hold the baby and hold the mother in whatever way you need.
Dawn
